Too many memories... too many joys. Here's just one!

Ntambi Daniel with his dear teacher from 1964 -- Miriam Bukenya in 2019!
Miriam Bukenya is the mother of Cathy Namotovu, the current leader of the Mwebaza School.
Cathy, like her Mom,  is  a visionary and we are delighted to call her them our friends and partners.

Today was the day of a joyous celebration at Mwebaza!

We could tell you about the children dancing joyously... we could share with you the gratitude of the children awarded commendations for performing so well in school... we could tell you the stories of the teachers moved to tears by their students.

However, a gentleman, at lunch, came over to the Colorado visitors to Uganda, and off the cuff, shared his immense gratitude for and with Mwebaza.

I asked Ntambi Daniel to please recreate his comments.   His words are below:

AN APPRECIATION FOR OUR PARTNERS "IN PROGRESS!"

I wish to register my appreciation for our partners "in progress!" from Colorado, USA.

I am a special director for Mwebaza Infant School.  Miriam Bukenya was my teacher and  I was one of the second class of students she had in 1964!

I have seen her teaching through the decades, now over 55 years!

Miriam Bukenya has been a teacher and awesome parent to us.  Teaching us, our children and our grandchildren.  She can still prepare and assist the young teachers through lesson plans!

So I felt very lucky to have been a witness to this awesome service for our community and country at large. She used to teach with her husband, the late Patric Bukenya.   It is my prayer that she will continue to do so for generations to come.

My deepest appreciation for the Mwebaza Foundation and all of their supporters.   It has allowed this lifetime of education and friendship.   I am grateful for all the investments the Mwebaza Foundation and their supporters have made in Uganda and I am grateful for their belief in us.

May G-d reward you accordingly cause we are surely short of appreciative words.

Ntambi Daniel
Director Mwebaza Infant School

Sadly though, we just learned that many of our vital, needed materials for finishing the new building were damaged beyond repair during the container's shipping.   ...

SISTER ACT Introducing Aleena and Marisol Tembrock July 25, 2019:  Today we had to bid farewell to our two youngest volunteers and will miss them so!  They made a huge impact on the children, the other volunteers and the staff at Mwebaza school   Marisol and Aleena brought enthusiasm, vitality and energy to the construction and we would not be where we are without their help, dedication and hard work. Marisol was our youngest volunteer and is the daughter of Amanda Woodward (A board member of Mwebaza and architect of both the container classrooms at Mwebaza Infant School and the school building at Mwebaza Annex) and John Tembrock. John is Mwebaza's so...
