Building the Future Together.

The Mwebaza Foundation’s

EXTREMELY Time Sensitive Appeal. *

* We need your support by August 3, 2019

Dear all,

We're on a mission and we know success is right around the corner.   We know this because just this past week we have collaborated with new partners, made new friends and built, organized and completed even more than we initially set out to do!   The Mwebaza School is growing by leaps and bounds and the energy and enthusiasm is palpable, But we’re writing this extremely vital appeal… because right now… we are missing one thing -  you

If you have been following us on social media, you have been able to share the accomplishments and joys we have had while we have been in Africa!

Sadly though, we just learned that many of our vital, needed materials for finishing the new building were damaged beyond repair during the container's shipping.   While we had/have coverage for items lost at sea, our coverage does not cover the breakage. We are devastated. The children, teachers and all of us at the Mwebaza Foundation expected nothing less than to leave behind a finished new building when we departed Africa.

We are determined that by the time we leave -- we’ll not only leave a piece of our hearts -- buy we’ll also be leaving the most perfect new school building - complete with undamaged materials.

This means we have a big opportunity in front of us.  https://mwebaza.org/help/donate/

This plea is not about the $4,300 we need to replace the materials.   It's about the children anxiously and enthusiastically waiting for their completed new building.  It's about the volunteers who have traveled half way across our planet to help bring this project to completion.  It's about you and how your generous donation can turn a very upsetting problem into a story of resilience and generosity.

This is a set back but it is not a collapse... and you can be the champion we need and need now. Our goal for this emergency appeal is $4,300 and together we know we can achieve this!

The $4,300 will cover the cost of all the damaged items and allow us to hire additional Ugandan workers to bring this wonderful and long awaited school to completion in out tight timeframe.  BEFORE our volunteers leave Uganda on August 3rd.

Please make your gift while this is still open on your computer.   We promise you. This will be one of the most transformative gifts you'll ever make.    The kids are waiting and depending on all of us.

Let’s build this future together!

With gratitude from Uganda,

Dale Peterson
President of the Board

Thank you for your generosity and your immediate response to this vital appeal. We deeply appreciate your gift before the volunteers leave on August 3rd, 2019

In Uganda, Lily is helping build new classrooms, work with Ugandan children and is providing strategic assistance.  Ethan is helping create the classrooms and is also working as Mwebaza's videographer, photographer and film editor. For the Petersons, Helping is a Family Affair We took some time to get to know Lily (16) and Ethan (19) and wanted to introduce you to these extraordinary teenagers. Ethan and Lily are spending their time, energy and summer volunteering for the Mwebaza Foundation in Uganda . Lily and Ethan's father Dale Peterson founded the Mwebaza Foundation and is the Chairman of the Board.   Mom Jennifer and younger brother Paul are tireless supporters and champions of Mwebaza too. What do Lily and Ethan want readers to know about Uganda? We first asked Lily what she wanted readers to know about Uganda and she said, "It's a wo...

Too many memories... too many joys. Here's just one!

Ntambi Daniel with his dear teacher from 1964 -- Miriam Bukenya in 2019!   Miriam Bukenya is the mother of Cathy Namotovu, the current leader of the Mwebaza School.   Cathy, like her Mom,  is  a visionary and we are delighted to call her them our friends and partners. Today was the day of a joyous celebration at Mwebaza! We could tell you about the children dancing joyously... we could share with you the gratitude of the children awarded commendations for performing so well in school... we could tell you the stories of the teachers moved to tears by their students. However, a gentleman, at lunch, came over to the Colorado visitors to Uganda, and off the cuff, shared his immense gratitude for and with Mwebaza. I asked Ntambi Daniel to please recreate his comments.   His words are below: AN APPRECIATION FOR OUR PARTNERS "IN PROGRESS!" I wish to register my appreciation for our partners "in progress!" from Colorado, USA. I am ...
