For the Petersons, Helping and Making a Difference is a Family Affair

Lily (a high school junior) and Ethan Peterson (a college sophomore) in an Ugandan home. In Uganda, Lily is helping build new classrooms, work with Ugandan children and is providing strategic assistance.  Ethan is helping create the classrooms and is also working as Mwebaza's videographer, photographer and film editor. For the Petersons, Helping is a Family Affair We took some time to get to know Lily (16) and Ethan (19) and wanted to introduce you to these extraordinary teenagers. Ethan and Lily are spending their time, energy and summer volunteering for the Mwebaza Foundation in Uganda . Too many memories... too many joys. Here's just one!

Ntambi Daniel with his dear teacher from 1964 -- Miriam Bukenya in 2019!   Miriam Bukenya is the mother of Cathy Namotovu, the current leader of the Mwebaza School.   Cathy, like her Mom,  is  a visionary and we are delighted to call her them our friends and partners. Today was the day of a joyous celebration at Mwebaza! We could tell you about the children dancing joyously... we could share with you the gratitude of the children awarded commendations for performing so well in school... we could tell you the stories of the teachers moved to tears by their students. However, a gentleman, at lunch, came over to the Colorado visitors to Uganda, and off the cuff, shared his immense gratitude for and with Mwebaza.
